“Elevating Malaysian Information Security to International Standards”

Petaling Jaya, December 16, 2005 – Recent global events such as a growing frequency of terrorist acts, has heightened the need for security on an international scale. Security awareness for Countries and Companies alike has risen to an all time high. This is evident through various new Government Legislations and Corporate Compliance regulations worldwide. Western nations including the United States of America and Australia are among the first to adopt stringent new security regulations, with the introduction of new laws such as the ‘Anti-terrorism Bill’ which aims to reduce the incidence of terrorist attacks, as well as new information security laws such as the ‘Sarbanes Oxley Act’ to minimize the illegal trading of sensitive national and corporate information.

Today, Persoft Systems Sdn Bhd (with its ‘flagship subsidiary’ for Managed Security Services - Paracation MSC Sdn Bhd) and Dtex Systems Pty Ltd (Australia) enter into an agreement officiating the strategic alliance and collaboration between these two companies in setting up a Security Command Centre located within the Multimedia Super Corridor. The Command Centre is specifically designed to provide managed security services to the Government and Private sectors in Malaysia.
